About this Product
This lantern was laser-cut from basswood, and each piece was fitted together to create this sturdy wooden lantern. This hexagonal lantern stands approximately 10.5 inches tall and almost 6 inches in width. Each of the six panels incorporates a floral pattern in the traditional Kumiko style. When illuminated from inside, the panels cast stunning shadows.
Unlike traditional Kumiko-style pieces, this lantern has been glued together to help ensure pieces will not warp and to allow the base to be removed for the insertion of electric candles or lights.
We recommend using an electric candle in the lantern as the dancing shadows are spectacular! If a wax candle that has a flame is used, we are not responsible for any fire that may occur :).
